After working in filtration for so many years, I have encountered all kinds of problems. Let me summarize the most common fault types and troubleshooting approaches.
The first situation is sudden sharp increase in pressure drop. This is usually caused by filter cartridge damage or seal gasket failure. The solution is to shut down and check filter cartridge integrity, especially weld seams and sealing areas.
The second situation is slowly rising pressure drop but still usable. This is usually filter cartridge clogging. You can try backwashing. If that does not work well, prepare for replacement. Also check whether the pre-treatment system is functioning properly.
The third situation is deteriorating filtration effect with impurities in the output. This is a more serious problem. It may be due to insufficient filter cartridge accuracy selection or cartridge breakthrough. Shut down for immediate inspection. If necessary, replace with a higher-precision filter cartridge.
The fourth situation is significantly shortened filter cartridge service life. First check whether the material composition has changed – whether there are more viscous or corrosive substances. Then check whether the cleaning method is correct. Sometimes improper cleaning can damage the filter cartridge.
The fifth situation is abnormal noise or vibration in the system. This may be due to pump issues or unstable pipe fixation, which can also affect normal filter cartridge operation.
When encountering problems, do not panic. Step-by-step troubleshooting will always find the cause. If you cannot solve it yourself, contact the manufacturer technical support in time. Clearly describe the fault phenomenon and operating parameters, and you will generally receive effective guidance.
